ECO Government Scheme

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. Currently there are two main types of funding offered under ECO funding which are HHCRO and CERO. Below we have included a breakdown of these types of funding

Benefits

You’re eligible if:

  • Your loft is accessible
  • Your existing loft insulation is less than or equal to 100mm thick
  • There are no infestations or water damage.

What’s included:

  • Installation of mineral wool insulation in your loft,
  • Insulation of cold water tank and pipes in loft space
  • Loft vents as required
  • Downlighter covers as required

ECO Measures

You are eligible under this aspect of ECO ifyou receive at least one of the following:

  • You have children and receive Child Benefit with the below income threshold see table 1 below.
  • DLA / PIP (Disability Living Allowance / Personal Independence Payment)
  • Pension Credit Guarantee
  • Income support
  • Child and Working Tax (no thresholds)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Carer’s Allowance
  • Severe Disablement Allowance
  • War Pensions Mobility Supplement
  • Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
  • Constant Attendance Allowance

The table below is the income levels that you will need to be under in order to qualify for HHCRO:

Single Adult 3 Children           = £27,500

Single Adult 4 Children           = £32,000

Join Adults 1 Child                  = £25,500

Joint Adults 2 Children            = £30,000

Joint Adults 3 Children            = £34,500

Joint Adults 4 Children            = £39,000

Are you eligible for ECO funding?
